Reborner Stéphanie Lefebvre is 33 years old and had a lot of fun answering our questions! Here is the interview:

Colliii.com: How did you get into Reborning, what are your roots?
S.L: After a lot of testing and probing and with a lot of help from other artists I got drawn into the first steps of Reborning.

Colliii.com: But why Reborning and not another hobby?
S.L: I saw a beautiful baby on Ebay, it inspired me so much that I decided to try it for myself. 

Colliii.com: What are your preferred techniques? 
S.L: I work a lot using Real Effect techniques as it makes the baby look more realistic. Generally I only work on kids. It is such a nice fulfilling feeling to see how the baby develops. It starts with the vinyl head, and then you take the paints and brushes and in the end the results can be amazing.  
As a mother I put a lot of heart into things. I think you understand it more and you can have a different love to you Reborns if you have your own children. It helps you create a better Reborn. When I started Reborning was my hobby, now it is my passion!  

Colliii.com: What other hobbies do you have?
S.L: None really.

Colliii.com: What about your children?
S.L: I have 3 children, all boys. I always wanted a daughter....Maybe my desire to  have a daughter fuels my passion now!  

Colliii.com: Do you get a lot of support from your family?
S.L: Yes, my whole family supports me a lot, especially my husband, he understands, encourages and is very patient with me. 

Collii.com: How do you manage Reborning and your family life?
S.L: I have to say that I can manage my time quite well. My youngest son is only 2 so I have to care for him all day, so I work in the evenings or at night.

Colliii.com: How is Reborning in France?
S.L: It really started at the end of the 90's. But it is still a little taboo in France. 

Colliii.com: Has there been a lot of developments in spite of that? 
S.L: Yes of course! There are always new artists with new techniques to learn and compare with. 

Colliii.com: You are a member of a French forum, what can you tell us about that?
S.L: The forum is called  „Reborning création passion". It was started by a friend of mine. I have been a member since the end of April this year. There are about 80 members and we help each other develop, and every month there is a competition and the most beautiful baby wins. 

Colliii.com: What is the atmosphere like in the forum?
S.L: Its very nice, we are like a big family and we have all become friends, the forum is addictive like a drug for us!  

Colliii.com: What would you recommend a beginner?
S.L: To mix the paints well! That is my biggest problem.

Colliii.com: Do you sell your dolls?
S.L: Yes all of them!

Colliii.com: And how/where?
S.L: On Ebay and on my blog.

Colliii.com: Have you been involved in a convention or presentation?
S.L: No not yet, but I would love to.

Colliii.com: What are you ambitions for the future?
S.L: I would like to become a professional Reborner. 

Colliii.com: Are you going to enter the Colliii Awards 2008?
S.L: YES!!!

Colliii.com: What do you think of the new Colliii.com platform?
S.L: Its very nice here, I think its important to organise a competition like this, it is very motivating for us.
